Athlete Wellness : Mind Body Programs

Competitive sports today require greater focus on  total athlete wellness - physical , psychological, emotional & social aspects.  Mindset is crucial to optimal athletic performance. Youth athletes face pressure to perform, greater competition, demanding schedules, extreme training along with managing academic expectations and balancing social life that can result in emotional stress and strain. Media coverage of elite athletes in recent years has emphasized the importance of athlete mental health care and necessity of integrating mind-body wellness practices such as sports therapy, mindfulness, yoga and meditation to address challenges, manage stress and promote a balanced mindset along with physical training, proper nutrition, and sleep. Our collaborative goal is to help youth excel and reach their full potential. 

POWER MIND BODY Program

  Ever felt …. Overwhelmed by pressure? In a slump, burned out or ready to quit? Your own worst critic? Fear of failure?  Train your brain like your body to unlock limitless potential! Our program teaches you Power(ful) mind-body skills: Mindfulness to tune in & transform toxic thoughts inhibiting performance & promote positivity; Body skills of  yoga breath & movement to release tension in muscles and increase oxygen flow; mediation/visualization to get you focused on desired outcomes and “in the zone”.

  • Player Mental  Health Assmt/ therapy
  •  Coaches: Mental Wellness education/training - Identifying mental health concerns in players, handling urgent concerns/suicide prevention; mandating reporting ; promoting resiliency & optimal performance. 
  • Parent groups: Mental Wellness education; Navigating college athletic recruiting
